Publix Running Out? Run In Promo!

Can I just say I LOVE a good deal? For that reason, Publix is my grocery store of choice! For the last week they've been running a fabulous promotion to save on some of the items your family loves but you may be running out of! I was sick for most of the last week so I wasn't able to make it in for my shopping trip till today, but I'm so glad I did! We were totally out of a few of the things included in the promotion, so I was able to stock up. Included items are General Mills and Procter & Gamble items like Cheerios, Totino's Pizza, Yoplait Go-Gurt, Charmin, Tide, Crest, and several others.
Several of our favorite brands were included in the list of participating products. I was able to stock up on Multigrain Cheerios, Totino's Pizza, Green Giant canned veggies, and Go-Gurt! My husband and kids will be so excited to have some of their favorite snacks on hand!
While I was there I grabbed a Running Out? Run In form. If you purchase at least $25 worth of participating products, you can submit your receipt along with the form and they will mail you a $5 Publix gift card! So easy!
Disclosure: The information, products and a General Mills gift pack were provided by General Mills and Publix® through MyBlogSpark.

Our move to Florida

Well, 3 months after Kyle moved to Florida, I had had enough of being separated. So, we left our house (which I had stayed behind to pack up, clean up, and get sold) in the hands of our realtor and the kids and I moved out to Florida at the end of August.
And that is where we are now. Living our new life in Florida. I have to admit, when we first got here I was miserable. The heat and humidity were way too much for me. But, I am adjusting, and, as much as I love the snow, it is nice not to have to bundle everybody up every time we go somewhere.
I am now trying to get rid of enough things so that we can fit into a much smaller house. I also try to find enough time to work on different projects that I sell on Etsy. My mom bought me a sewing machine for my birthday last year and it has been wonderful to be able to sit down and sew whenever I have some free time! I was able to make most of our Christmas presents, which was a huge blessing since we have a very limited budget right now.
Basically, I am very excited to start blogging about our life here in Florida and the different day-to-day things that others may find interesting. I'm mostly excited to start sharing the different sewing and craft projects that I will be working on, and see if I can't help inspire some of you.

Let's Get Started

My name is Beth. I lived most of my life in Provo and Orem, Utah, except for 2 years when I lived in Arizona as a young child, and 1 1/2 years when I lived in different parts of Ontario, Canada, serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. When I came home from my mission, I planned to finish school in Logan, Utah, but my best friend Kyle had different plans and proposed before the next semester could start. We got married 3 months later at the end of February and have now been married  for almost 6 years. Since then very few things have gone the way we planned because, well, life just happened.
After over 5 1/2 years together, we now have a beautiful 3 year-old daughter (she'll be 4 in February), a very busy 1 year-old boy, and Kyle has made a complete career change from being an electrician (which he does still do on occasion) to being a helicopter pilot. That alone wasn't in the plan 6 years ago, and when it did become part of the plan just over 3 years ago, the schooling didn't go nearly as quickly as planned, and the job didn't work out as planned.
We had originally planned for him to teach at the school that he went to so he cold build up his hours and then get a job in Alaska flying helicopter tours for a couple of summers ( I was ecstatic about the chance to get away from the summer heat - I would be happy if it could just be fall year-round). Well, he never did get the job at that school which meant that he didn't build up enough hours for that job in Alaska, and finally, a year after he finished school, he was offered a job with a company that has contracts to instruct Latin American Military. So, at the end of May he packed up a trailer and the back of his truck and he and his dad drove across the country to get our new life started in Florida. That's right, you read that right. Florida. (Not exactly the place one would go to escape the heat.)
